Reality Therapy Course At Newgale YMCA OEC

Reality Therapy 4 Day Basic Intensive Workshop

Reality Therapy is a cognitive-behavioural approach to therapy, counselling and problem solving, which focuses on the here-and-now and how we can plan for a better future, instead of concentrating at length on the past. In a caring, trusting environment clients discover what they really want and whether what they are currently doing (how they are choosing to behave) is actually bringing them nearer to, or further away from, that goal.

This is a valuable and internationally recognised technique already used widely within the higher level development centres accross the UK and Overseas.

Exciting New Facility At Newgale YMCA OEC

Newgale has recently seen the completion of its ‘High Ropes Course’. At 30ft high the many challenges test both individual skills along with a team’s ability to work together for success.

With 9 separate activities plus 2 climbing walls and an abseil tower there is something to match every need. All activities are controlled from the ground making them safe to manage and involving of the whole group, even if actually leaving the floor proves too much for some. With plenty of opportunity to test personal ability, learn new skills and practice trusting and supporting others, the ‘High Ropes Challenge’ is a unique experience not to be missed.

The course is currently available as a half day activity in its own right or as part of a residential development programme. For more information on this facility or any aspect of Newgale YMCA’s broad range of activities and development programmes please call us on 01437 720959 or e-mail info@newgaleymca.co.uk
