Activities: Mountain Biking
Newgale Outdoor Education Centre is situated in ideal countryside for exploration by bicycle. We are on the Sustrans 'Celtic Trail' cycle route which wends its way through the picturesque landscape of the Pembrokeshire National Park. The lanes are quiet and the traffic is extremely light making the area ideal for families wanting to explore the region.
Cycling activity for groups staying at Newgale can be designed to achieve a number of aims in full day or half day sessions. Treasure hunts, skills courses and D of E expeditions can all be achieved close to our base.
For those wanting a more challenging experience the nearby Preseli hills gives excellent cross country riding and we are also in striking distance of some of the best built trails in the country at Brechfa, Nant y Arian and Cwm Carn.
We can also provide leadership training through the Scottish Mountain Bike Leadership Award at Trail Cycle and Mountain Bike Leader levels and will provide skills courses for those wishing to improve their off road cycling skills.
