Kit List

This is a basic kit list:

  • Two pairs of Training shoes, at least one pair of which will get wet
  • Two pairs of warm trousers, tracksuit bottoms are fine, jeans are unsuitable as they get heavy and cold when wet
  • A complete set of suitable indoor clothing
  • Two jumpers, sweatshirts or fleeces, two or three thin ones are better than one thick one
  • Two T-shirts
  • Underwear
  • Pyjamas, dressing gown etc
  • Swimwear
  • Shorts (in summer)
  • Wash kit/Personal toiletries/towels
  • High factor sun cream (Essential April – September)
  • Insect repellent
  • Any relevant medication, inhalers etc.

Optional extra’s:

  • Alarm Clock
  • Small amount of spending money
  • Book / magazine
  • Camera

Newgale YMCA will supply:

  • Waterproof tops and bottoms
  • Bed Linen
  • Small rucksack
  • All relevant safety kit and equipment for activities

This is simply a guideline….Please do not feel you have to buy anything specifically for the course.
