Team Working Skills Programme (NEW)
Learning to work as an effective team member can help you build your self-confidence, develop your trust in others and enhance your communication skills.
The central aim of this programme is to equip the participants with the skills and confidence necessary to be able to work effectively in any team setting. It will give participants the chance to explore and experiment with tools and techniques, through a variety of outdoor activities and under the guidance of experienced development tutors. In other words, this programme is not just about the theory of team working, but about building your understanding of how to be an effective team member through experiential learning.
This programme may be particularly useful for schools or youth groups looking to help young people adapt to changes in their lives, develop confidence and become a constructive team member, including NEETS or individuals being supported by a Youth Offending Team.
This learning is useful in itself. However there will also be the opportunity for participants to gain accredited learning units through OCN (Open College Network) in:
- Preparing to Learn Outdoors (Entry level) NOCN Code: HB9E3CY001
- Working as a Team (Entry Level) NOCN Code: ADV771
- Teamwork (Level 1 NOCN Code: ABS066
- Teambuilding through Experiential Learning (Level 1) NOCN Code: AF51CY002
This is a six day programme with participants attending one day a week over a six week period. To gain accredited learning they will need to attend six days, those with lower attendance should still pass entry level units.
